ANS I Bokaro: Aditya Mishra (Class VIIID) and Harsh Raj (Class IXD) of DPS Bokaro emerged as champions in the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) – ‘Saksham’ National Quiz Competition 2021.
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Petroleum, Government of India. Aditya and Harsh clinched the winning trophy after battling their brains against 110 teams that participated from across the country. The result of the competition, which was organized on the virtual platform, was declared on Monday.
The winners receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a certificate each, school authority informed.
PCRA is a registered society set up under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, which promotes energy efficiency in various sectors of the economy. PCRA uses all possible and effective media for mass communication to give impetus to the oil conservation movement.
Congratulating the winners, A.S. Gangwar Principal, DPS Bokaro, said that it is essential for students to understand the importance of the judicious use of resources given by Mother Earth to ensure sustainable development.
“There is no substitute for diligence, and this accomplishment is a reflection of the hard work put forward by our students,” he added.
