#DVC setting a new record in the development of the country, society: Chairman
Bokaro: Bokaro’s industrial electricity users can rejoice once more. Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has begun direct power supplies of 11 KV for industrial consumers in Bokaro.
DVC Chairman, Ramnaresh Singh inaugurated the 11 KV sub station on Sunday. Around 18 new consumers have the immediate connection of 11,000-volt power supplies for their industrial units in the Balidih Industrial Area.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said, “This system was essential for the development of the industrial sector.” DVC will now directly provide 11000 volts of power supplies to the consumers. Earlier, direct power connection facilities were available only for High Tension (HT) consumers.
DVC started the direct supply facilities of 11000 volts to the consumers at Kumar Dhubbi in February this year, and now the second phase is being started in Bokaro. Today, around 18 new consumers have the immediate connection of 11,000-volt power supplies for their industrial units in Balidih Industrial Area, said Singh.
He said, DVC is playing an important role in the development of the country and society; has been associated for years in the service of the country and society. “DVC is setting a record of development in the social, economic, and industrial sector in the past years,” added Singh.
Talking to the media persons, the Chairman said that there is no shortage of coal supply in DVC. The Ministry of Power and Coal, Government of India, has extended full cooperation to us and the bottleneck in the supply of coal has ended for the time being.
The Jharkhand government is paying us one hundred crore rupees per month in lieu of electricity supply. The government has also said to take an immediate decision on the remaining amount, he said.
“Talks with two Jharkhand ministers and other high officials have reached to an agreement on the earlier arrears. The due amounts will almost certainly be paid out in the near future as well,” added Singh.
The Jharkhand government has taken several positive steps for DVC; the government is providing a large assistance to us, he said.
Beside others, DVC member Technical M Raghuram, Executive Director Subodh Dutta, Aseem Nandi, MC Rakshit, Chief Engineer and Project Head, CTPS Ajay Kumar Dutta, Superintending Engineer Rakesh Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Bokaro Thermal Chief Engineer and Project Head, Sushanto Sanigrahi, Protocol Officer Abhay Bhiyar, Purnachandra Warik, Madan Sen, Sujit Kumar, Ramsanehi Sharma, Abhijit Chakraborty, Sunil Kumar Singh, Sanjeev Srivastava, Roshan Kumar, Mirnal Bhattacharya, Akshay Kumar were present on the ocassion.
