Bokaro : The Primary Wing of DPS Bokaro chose the students who would serve on the School Council and Office Bearers as part of an effort to encourage pupils to develop qualities of leadership. During the Investiture Ceremony that took place today on the grounds of the Sector V school, freshly selected students received badges and sashes as part of the ceremony’s festivities. Kuldeep Kumar, who is the City DSP, presided over the event as the Chief Guest.
For the session 2022-23, Adira Deep (V) Jhelum House is the Head Girl while Aarav Barik (V) Jhelum House is the Head Boy. Anshika Gupta (IV) Chenab House is selected as the Vice Head Girl and Akshat Jha (IV) of Ganga House is the Vice Head Boy. Lenisha (V) Raavi House is the Cultural Secretary whereas Aaradhya Mishra (V) Jhelum House is the Literary Secretary and Prem Kumar (V) Ganga House is the Sports Secretary. Swastika Pandey, Shashank, Nausheen Quraishi, Shanvi Singh, Abhiraj Singh and Bhoomi Priya of Class V are the House Captains of Ganga, Jamuna, Raavi, Chenab, Sutlej and Jhelum Houses respectively.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest congratulated the newly appointed council and advised them to do their work with diligence and commitment. He emphasized that a leader should always be ready to help and work as a part of the team.
Addressing the students A. S. Gangwar, Principal DPS Bokaro said, “Leadership comes with responsibilities”. He said that DPS Bokaro is committed to the task of ensuring the holistic development of the students and the school council is an attempt to groom future leaders of tomorrow. He hoped that the new council members will perform their duties with sincerity and dedication.
The student council took the pledge to hold the school motto at high esteem and live up to the responsibility entrusted. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
