ANS: The Indian Navy successfully tested a Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) from the strategic warship INS Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, officials said.

According to the official, the test firing successfully confirmed the capability of the weapon to be engaged as an anti-ship missile.

As a demonstration of the Navy’s dedication to Atmanirbhar Bharat, the MRSAM was co-created by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), and it was manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).

In keeping with the Navy’s dedication to Atmanirbhar Bharat, the MRSAM was developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI); manufactured at Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).
