ANS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese inaugurated the 4th India-Australia Test match in Ahmedabad on Thursday, in celebrating 75 years of friendship through cricket.
PM Modi and PM Albanese watched the first match of the fourth cricket test match of the Border Gavaskar trophy. Both Prime Ministers inaugurated the friendship hall of fame, showcasing the rich history of India-Australia Cricket Contests.
Earlier, both leaders praised the players and gave their test caps to the test captains of their respective teams.
The event commemorated 75 years of cricket Friendship this year. A large crowd was gathered at the stadium to witness the historic match and to cheer up their teams. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, CM Bhupendra Patel, BCCI Chief Jay Shah were also present on the occasion.
Later, PM Narendra Modi held meeting with the higher party authorities at Rajbhavan in Gandhinagar.
