ANS: ‘Sawan Mahotsav’ observed with traditional fun-fares at Bokaro Steel City last evening. Mithila Mahila Samiti, Bokaro, celebrated the vibrant ‘Sawan Mahotsav’ with traditional fervour and joy in Bokaro Steel City yesterday. The event was organized by Mithila Mahila Samiti, a social and cultural organization affiliated with Mithila Sanskritik Parishad, at the auditorium of the Mithila Academy Public School, Sector 4 E.
The festivities featured a captivating cultural program, including mesmerizing music and dance performances. In addition to the cultural delights, various competitions were held during the event, drawing enthusiastic participation from all attendees, as shared by Arun Pathak, the Press Secretary of the Parishad.
The occasion saw the warm welcome of guests by President Seema Jha, Secretary Mamta Jha, and Cultural Secretary Binu Choudhary of Mithila Mahila Samiti. The esteemed Chief Guest, Neena Narayan, graced the event and had the honour of felicitating the winners of the Siya Sundari competition held as part of the celebrations.
Around fifty committee members have actively participated in making the festival a grand success. The judging panel for the various competitions included Sangeeta Jha, Archana, and Meenam Mishra.
Poonam Mishra, Madhu Bala, and Prerna secured the first, second, and third prizes in the ‘Siya Sundari’ competition. The decoration competition saw Madhulata, Upasana, and Gudiya clinching the first, second, and third places. Sharda was recognized for her exceptional singing, while Deepshikha received praise for her photogenic presence. Preeti Priya’s captivating dance moves and Shalini’s remarkable costume received well-deserved recognition.
The event saw a joyful gathering, and notable personalities like Kiran Mishra, Amita Jha, Namita Jha, Abha Jha, Jayanti Pathak, and Vandana graced the occasion with their presence, adding to the festive spirit. The Sawan Mahotsav brought together the community to celebrate culture and tradition, creating lasting memories for all those who participated.
