ANS: In a heartfelt tribute to the mentors who shape young minds, DPS Bokaro celebrated Teachers’ Day with great fervour. The event, held to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of teachers in moulding a healthy and positive society, was a day filled with gratitude and admiration.
The students of took the initiative to honour their teachers by organizing a Special Assembly. In a unique twist, students assumed the role of teachers for the day, conducting classes.
To express their appreciation, the students presented flowers and handmade cards to their teachers. A Class VIII student, Bhawani, recited a heartfelt, self-composed poem paying homage to the educators.
The commemoration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal and the Vice Principals and floral tributes to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the great philosopher and former President of India in whose honour Teachers’ Day is observed.
The students showcased their talents through a captivating cultural program that included a dance performance, group song and an orchestra, which resonated with applause from both students and teachers alike.
In the Primary wing, the beautiful dance and song by the students of Classes 2 to 5 attracted the little ones. The arena emitted love and respect for the teachers.
Principal Dr A S Gangwar addressed the assembly, emphasizing teachers’ pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future.
He remarked, “Teachers are the foundation stones for the growth and development of children. They play an integral part in building not just individuals but the entire civilization of the present and future.”
“No nation can progress without the active cooperation of teachers. They are the pillars of success for any society and nation,” he added.
Dr Gangwar lauded the teachers’ dedication to nurturing young minds and instilling values that extend beyond the confines of the classroom.
